On May 06, 2025, a meeting with representatives of French educational institutions and financial organizations was held at NUBiP of Ukraine: Crédit Agricole UkraineCrédit Agricole FoundationFranceAgro3Isara (Lyon); UniLaSalle (Beauvais, Rouen); Institut Agro (Rennes-Angers, Lyon, Dijon).

The meeting was devoted to study and grant opportunities at leading agricultural higher education institutions in France.

Olena GLAZUNOVA, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work and Digital Transformation, made an opening speech. She welcomed students and colleagues from Crédit Agricole Ukraine, Crédit Agricole Foundation and French higher education institutions to the event.

 

The event was opened by Olena URUSOVA, HR Director of Crédit Agricole Ukraine. She spoke about Crédit Agricole Bank, its structure, principles of work, charitable programs of the bank, and its operations in Ukraine, especially during the difficult years of war. Ms. Urusova emphasized that the main focus area of the bank and the Foundation as a whole is agriculture, which is in line with the scientific direction of NUBiP of Ukraine.

 

 

Experts from the Crédit Agricole Foundation were also invited to the meeting: Guillaume PENICAUT, Carlos DECORDOUE, Alexandre TCHESNAKOFF. It was emphasized that the purpose of the charitable programs is to provide financial support in the form of scholarships and grants to students from Ukraine to gain academic and social experience in France.
The scholarship from Agricole will cover tuition fees, accommodation and living expences (accommodation will be provided by the host universities).

 

The application deadline for the programs is May 30, 2025. Interviews will be held until June 06. The results will be announced in mid-June 2025.

Currently, 9 programs from a semester to a year of study in French higher education institutions are open to Ukrainian students:

ISARA representative Christophe DAVID highlighted 2 programs available at the university in the areas of agroecology and sustainable development of the food industry. The programs provide students with the opportunity to study in France for 1 semester (non-degree program, but with credit transfer) or a full year (with a Master's degree).
     • Sustainable Food Systems - Isara Lyon.
     • Agroecology – Isara/Agrivia Lyon.

French Institute Agro was represented by Gaelle ROUNDAUT, and she told more about the available programs:
     • Food Science and Technology – Engineering Program – Institut Agro Lyon.
     • Master «TEAM-Actors»: Transition in Environmental and Agrifood Systems Management – Institut Agro Rennes-Angers.
   • Seeds and Plant Propagation – Institut Agro Rennes-Angers. A unique master's program for French and international students focused on seed production and plant propagation for sustainable agriculture and horticulture.

Philippe CHOQUET, CEO of UniLasalle, made the final presentation. The university offers Ukrainian students the following study programs:
     • Erasmus Mundus Master Program in Plant Breeding (emPLANT) – UniLaSalle Beauvais. The program provides an opportunity to receive an Erasmus Mundus scholarship that fully covers the cost of education.
     • MSc Agriculture & Food Data Management – UniLaSalle Rouen
     • BSc+MSc – Agro & Food & Environmental Engineering – UniLaSalle Rouen/Beauvais
