Scientific work

       The staff of the department works on the improvement of existing highly productive breeds, lines of cattle and poultry crosses; development and implementation of computer programs for managing the breeding process, development of new and improvement of traditional methods of reproduction and preservation of the gene pool, application of the achievements of genetics of qualitative and quantitative traits in animal breeding.

 

      The methods, the use of which ensures the determination of the authenticity of the origin of breeding animals; detection of individuals carrying hidden genetic defects; marker selection (MAS selection) are determined.The methodology of genetic control over the course of the breeding process in herds of farm animals by the dynamics of the frequency of marker genes is substantiated.Effective schemes for stimulating the reproductive capacity of cows and boars based on the use of biologically active drugs of neurotropic and metabolic action ‘Gl
