Department of Scientific Attestation

 The Department of Scientific Attestation serves as a scientific and organizational centre for comprehensive evaluation of scientific papers presented in the form of dissertations and for attestation of highly qualified personnel. The department organizes, coordinates and controls the work of problematic academic councils of the university research institutes on preliminary examination of theses and the work of specialized academic councils on the defence of theses as the work of their commissions on the corresponding fields of study; provides applicants with advice on preparation and defence of dissertations.

 

The National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine (NULES of Ukraine) (Kyiv territorial centre (basic establishment)) and the Southern Affiliate of NULES of Ukraine «Crimean Agrotechnological University» have 20 specialized academic councils. There are 16 doctoral and 2 candidate academic councils for 45 fields of study of 7 science branches at NULES of Ukraine while at the Southern Affiliate of NULES of Ukraine «Crimean Agrotechnological University» there is 1 doctoral and 1 candidate academic council for 3 fields of study of 2 science branches. One hundred thirty-nine applicants defended their theses at the academic councils (136 applicants at NULES of Ukraine (basic establishment) and 3 applicants at the Southern Affiliate of NULES of Ukraine "Crimean Agrotechnological University"), 17 of which defended the doctoral degree and 3 of which defended PhD degree. In addition, the councils conducted two collective reviews of the doctoral and candidate theses and 1 re-certification of the scientist, who obtained PhD degree abroad. 87 applicants are graduate students and employees of NULES of Ukraine (basic establishment) while 2 applicants are graduate students from the Southern Affiliate of NULES of Ukraine "Crimean Agrotechnological University".

 

The number of researchers at the specialized scientific councils of NULES of Ukraine (basic establishment) is 324 scientists (including 297 Doctors of Sciences and 27 Candidates of Sciences), 216 of which are university staff and 108 are members of other research and educational institutions of Ukraine.

 

The number of researchers at the specialized scientific councils of the Southern Affiliate of NULES of Ukraine "Crimean Agrotechnological University" is 28 scientists (including 21 Doctors of Sciences and 7 Candidates of Sciences), 22 of which are university staff and 6 are members of other research and educational institutions of Ukraine.
