Participation of the Faculty Members of the Department in the Online School «Women Leaders in Higher Education»
Women in the modern world play a decisive role in shaping the future of higher education. Female leaders in the academic sphere serve as a driving force for innovation, implementing new approaches to management, teaching, and research. They contribute to the development of the scientific community, actively work on integrating gender equality in education, and bring the principles of sustainable development and inclusion to life. With these inspiring thoughts, Dr. Nataliia Vdovenko, Doctor of Economics, Professor, and Head of the Department of Global Economy at the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, is participating in the online school «Women Leaders in Higher Education», taking place from September 19 to 25, 2024.
The Winter School is being implemented by the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine in collaboration with the University of Reading (United Kingdom) as part of the project «Supporting Women’s Leadership in Education».
The project is supported by the British Council under the Going Global Partnerships Program. Going Global Partnerships enables universities, colleges, and a broad range of education stakeholders worldwide to collaborate in strengthening higher education, research, and vocational education that is more resilient, equitable, inclusive, and globally interconnected.
The women leaders presented their journeys.
The presence of women in leadership positions at universities and research institutions in Ukraine is a significant step toward creating a more open and democratic educational environment. Women leaders serve as role models for new generations of students, inspiring them to pursue self-development and engage actively in social life.
