Individual learning path

Dear higher education seekers!
In accordance with paragraph 15 of part one of Article 62 of the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education”, higher education seekers have the right to freely choose academic disciplines (educational components) within the limits provided for by the relevant educational program and curriculum, in the amount of:
Not less than 25 percent of the total number of ECTS credits provided for this level of higher education.
Not less than 10 percent for specialties that provide access to professions for which additional regulation has been introduced (regulated professions).
At the same time, applicants for a certain level of higher education have the right to choose academic disciplines offered for other levels of higher education, subject to agreement with the head of the relevant faculty or educational and scientific institute (ESI).
Individual study plan and academic workload
In accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine Regarding the Development of Individual Educational Trajectories and Improvement of the Educational Process” (No. 3642-IX of 23.04.2024), based on the educational program and curriculum, the University ensures the development and approval of individual study plans (ISP) for each higher education applicant for each year of study in accordance with the procedure established by it.
The individual study plan (ISP) is formed taking into account:
The requirements of the educational program regarding the study of its compulsory educational components (regulatory part).
The educational policy of the higher education institution.
The results of the personal choice of elective educational components by the student (variable part).
The annual academic load of a higher education applicant, as determined by the IEP, may be:
No less than 30 ECTS credits and no more than 80 ECTS credits for the initial level (short cycle), first (bachelor's) and second (master's) levels of higher education.
Procedure for selecting disciplines
Students select elective educational components independently from the approved List of Elective Disciplines offered by the University, thus forming their own individual educational trajectory.
The detailed procedure for selecting, registering, and including elective disciplines in your Individual Study Plan is determined by the relevant University Regulations on Individual Educational Trajectories (or a similar internal regulatory document).
