INSTRUCTIONS on compliance with the rules of conduct under martial law in Ukraine during the organization of the educational process at the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine


To the attention of students and employees of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine Basic rules of conduct under martial law:

1. Scientific and teaching staff, students, and all employees of the university must strictly adhere to the recommendations set forth in the "Rules of Conduct in a Military Emergency Situation, developed by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine" (https://dsns.gov.ua/metodichni-rekomendaciyi ).

2. When on the university premises, in its buildings, educational facilities, or dormitories, it is essential to know the location of civil defense shelters near your location.

3. Avoid unnecessary travel outside your place of study, residence, work, and unfamiliar places.

4. When moving around the premises, leaving them, moving along the stairs of multi-storey buildings and dormitories or to civil defence structures (shelters), you must follow the right-hand rule (as when moving motor vehicles) in order to avoid crowding. It is necessary to let women, girls, elderly people, and people with disabilities go ahead and provide them with assistance, which will significantly reduce the time it takes to reach a shelter or refuge.

5. In exceptional cases, if you find yourself in a shelling zone or other dangerous area, you should take shelter in the nearest civil defense shelter. If there are no suitable shelters, you should use the uneven terrain for cover. In case of sudden shelling or other danger and the absence of civil defense structures, shelters, and cover nearby, you should lie down on the ground with your head facing away from the explosions. Cover your head with your hands. Do not leave your shelter until the shelling or other danger has ended.

6. During curfew:

- It is prohibited to be on the street or in other public places without a special pass. This rule does not apply to moving to a shelterduring an alarm signal.

- while in university buildings, educational buildings, or dormitories, you must follow the rules of blackout, namely: close the curtains on the windows, turn off the lights, remove all lamps from the windowsills, etc.

7. If explosive objects are found, it is prohibited to move them from one place to another; collect and store, heat and strike them;attempt to discharge and disassemble them.

8. Upon discovering explosive objects, immediate measures should be taken at the site of discovery to identify, cordon off, and secure the found objects.

You should also immediately notify the territorial bodies of the State Emergency Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs by calling “101” and “102.”
