Educational work
The most important criterion for increasing the competitiveness of the department is to improve the quality of the educational process, expand access to educational services and systematically improve the list of disciplines taught by the scientific and pedagogical staff of the department/

Currently, the department provides teaching of specialized disciplines for both the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs, and is a graduate department. The list of disciplines provided for by the curriculum for training specialists for the Bachelor's degree program includes such disciplines as: "Land resources management"; "Rational use and protection of land"; "Land productivity reproduction technologies"; "Photogrammetry and remote sensing"; "Geodetic work in land management", "Monitoring studies in geodesy and land management"; Norms in topographic and geodetic activities and land management"; "Formation of restrictions and burdens in land use"; "Land Use Control".

The department pays significant attention to electronic learning aids, multimedia technologies, since electronic presentations stimulate students' interest, activate their attention to the assimilation of educational material. The completeness of the presentation of the existing list of disciplines in the current conditions is ensured in online (lectures) and offline (laboratory and practical classes) formats. For this, the scientific and pedagogical staff uses various platforms, such as: CiscoWebex, Zoom, YouTube, and others. The university's electronic educational environment is systematically updated with electronic educational courses (EEC) for each academic discipline, in particular. During the 2021-2025 academic year, certification of five EEC disciplines taught at the department was carried out. In conditions of martial law, the selected course in education at the university level has acquired priority importance.
Different disciplines have different requirements, so the department, in addition to lectures and laboratory and practical classes, develops course projects in profile disciplines. There is also a training practice in the disciplines "Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing"; "Geodetic Works in Land Management" for the OS "Bachelor" and industrial practice for students who are obtaining the OS "Master". The result of the educational process for students of the OS "Bachelor" is the defense of the completed bachelor's thesis, and for students of the OS "Master" - the defense of the completed master's thesis.
The scientific and pedagogical staff of the department annually updates the methodological support of the disciplines assigned to the department. This involves updating work programs, textbooks, workshops, methodological recommendations, which allows students to better master their chosen specialty.
Considerable attention is paid to the organization of independent work of the student, consultations for students are systematically held according to a certain schedule.
The department has two educational laboratories that provide organizational support for the educational process.
