For 60 years in a row, the teachers of the Department of Physical Education have been annually holding the sports day of the University students, in the 2017-2018 academic year, the student sports day program includes competitions in 15 sports. Since 2001, the "Health" sporting event has been resumed among scientific, scientific and pedagogical workers and employees of the structural divisions of the University in 6 sports. Since 2001, the rating of sportsmanship has been determined among athletes, sports sections, NNI and faculties, teachers responsible for training national teams of university students. Since 2005, the University has held a sports day for students living in the dormitories of NUBiP of Ukraine with 10-12 types of sports and individual physical exercises.

On the existing sports base of the University, the teachers of the Department of Physical Education on a public basis conduct classes in extracurricular time with national teams of students of NUBiP of Ukraine in 19 sports: basketball (women), basketball (men), wrestling, weightlifting, volleyball (women), volleyball (men), kettlebell sports, kyokushin karate, athletics, radio sports (sports radio direction finding), orienteering, sports aerobics, table tennis, football (men), mini football (women), mini football (men), arm sports, powerlifting , tug-of-war, in which about 400 students are engaged.

Scientific, scientific and pedagogical workers and employees of the University are engaged in the following sports in 5 health groups: badminton, basketball, volleyball, mini-football, table tennis.

The University operates an educational, recreational, and sports center, a separate structural unit of the NUBiP of Ukraine, in which, in 8 subscription groups, students, teachers, residents of the Holosiiv district, adults and children, engage in the following sports: athletic gymnastics, recreational callanetics, kyokushin karate, hand-to-hand combat, boxing , dance aerobics, fitness (shaping), horting.

For many decades, the tourist club "Bars" has been operating at the University on the principles of self-governance.
