On October, 4, meeting of the board of National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine and the experts of Japanese agricultural corporation «Agriculture and Livestock Industries Corporation of Japan (ALIC)» took place at NUBiP of Ukraine.
Japanese corporation was represented by the principal investigator, Dr. Shunichi Shinkawa, investigator, Mr. Takanori Yamahami and interpreter Mrs. Julia Zamorska, while the Head of National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, Academician D.O. Melnychuk, Assistant Head for International Affairs, M.S. Vaschyk, the Head of the Ukrainian Education and Research Institute of Bioresources Quality and Life Safety, S.D. Melnychuk, the Head of the Education and Research Institute of Business, A.D. Dibrova, the head of the Ukrainian Research Institute of Agricultural Radiology, V.O. Kashparov, the Head of Education and Research Institute of Land Resourses and Law, V.I.Kurylo and the Head of Vasyl Z. Yanchuk Department of Agricultural, Land and Environmental Rights, V. M. Yarmolenko took part on behalf of the university.
A number of issues concerning the possibilities and potential of agriculture in Ukraine, including joint production of crops was addressed during the meeting.
Due to the development of trade and economic relations between two countries, Japanese experts also inquired about fluctuations in price of basic crops, activities of agricultural holdings, main tasks and functions of the Agrarian Fund of Ukraine, the moratorium on the sale and purchase of agricultural land and agricultural market situation in Ukraine, as well as opportunities for cooperation.
