Over the years of scientific activity, Professor Hryhoriy Ivanovich Kalachnyuk (18.08.1937 – 23.07.2014) created original scientific directions of research on many fundamental and applied issues related to the development of biochemical, physiological, and biotechnological foundations of nutrition and the search for effective ways of regulating metabolic processes in the animal body.
His most important achievements are the results of physiological-biochemical and biotechnological studies of substrate-dietary stimulation of the processes of formation of the cicatricial type of digestion in ruminants from an early age and the role of the protein-synthesizing apparatus of the cells of the mucous membrane of the cicatrix at the level of regulation of the initial stages of aminoacylation of transport RNAs.
For the first time, he found out the main links of the formation of the cicatricial type of digestion and intermediate metabolism in fattening young cattle in the age aspect under the conditions of long-term exposure to many paratypic factors.
