The scientific activity of the department is carried out within the framework of the "Problem research laboratory of internal non-communicable diseases of animals," which has been operating since February 4, 1999, under the leadership of Academician of the NAAS of Ukraine, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor M.I. Tsvilikhovsky.

Main research directions of the department of therapy and clinical diagnostics:
Scientific and experimental substantiation of adaptation disorders in animals under high-tech enterprise conditions and development of correction methods.
Investigation of mechanisms of colostral immunity formation in animals, their disorders, and development of correction methods.
Development of methods for comprehensive visual diagnostics of internal diseases in animals using computer technologies.
Development of diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive methods for internal diseases in domestic animals.

The Department of Internal Animal Diseases offers PhD training (third educational and scientific level of higher education) in the educational and scientific program "Non-Communicable Pathology of Animals" under specialty 211 - Veterinary Medicine (Profile: Diagnosis and therapy of animals).
