Modernization of educational programs of the specialty H1 "Agronomy" in partnership with employers

On February 24, 2026, an expanded meeting of the teaching commission and the Council of employers on updating the educational programs of the specialty H1 "Agronomy" (bachelor's and master's levels) for admission in 2026 took place at the Faculty of Agrobiology.

Acting Dean Volodymyr ZAVHORODNІY stressed that the modernization of programs should be constant and meet the needs of the modern agricultural market. Special agricultural business emphasized the importance of training competitive specialists. Yuriy DEMTSIUR drew attention to the need for specialists who own the technologies of digital agricultural production. Ivan TERESHCHENKO focused on the development of managerial and communication skills of future agronomists. Oleksandr FESHCHUN emphasized the environmental responsibility, preservation of soil fertility and principles of sustainable development. Petro DROZD outlined the basic requirements for updating programs in accordance with higher education standards.

The GUIsrants of the educational programs presented the results of the work in 2025 and proposed changes to the programs for 2026.

Special attention was paid to the master's program "Protection and Soil Recovery Technologies". Rostyslav BOHDANOVYCH noted that in the conditions of soil degradation, the training of specialists in the restoration of soil resources is extremely relevant. The program provides for the strengthening of the environmental component, the use of modern methods of monitoring and the introduction of innovative technologies for soil restoration. He also stressed that graduates of the program should be able to comprehensively assess the state of the soil cover and develop effective measures for its preservation. Separately, the importance of combining scientific approaches with practical experience in production conditions was emphasized. According to the speaker, the updated program will contribute to the training of competitive specialists capable of responding to modern environmental and production challenges.

According to the results of the discussion, the educational programs are recommended for further improvement and approval for the recruitment of higher education applicants in 2026.
