International horizons: experience in studying under the Erasmus + program in Latvia
Student of the 1st year of master's degree of OPP "Protection and Soil Resumption Technologies" Lyubov TCHORIK recently returned from her studies at the Latvian University of Biosciences and Technologies (LBTU).
She shared her impressions of participating in the Erasmus+ academic mobility program in a short essay.

Interdisciplinary as a way to new opportunities
One of the key advantages of the Erasmus+ program is the flexibility of the curriculum. In addition to specialized disciplines, students have the opportunity to choose subjects from other areas, expanding their professional horizons.
"This time I decided to go beyond the usual and try something radically new, choosing the course "Business Planning" at the Faculty of Economics. It turned out to be an extremely exciting experience," says Love.
Together with the international group, the student took part in the conference "Succeed in Business", organized with the support of Latvia, Estonia and Finland. As part of the event, young researchers solved real business cases, analyzed successful advertising campaigns and learned to develop strategies for startups.

Professional development in the field of agronomy
Despite the experiments in economics, the main focus remained on professional training in the specialty H1 "Agronomy". In particular, Lyubov highlighted the study of hydrological processes.
- Theoretical basis: familiarization with European directives in the field of ecology and water resources.
- Practical component: analysis of key stages of creation and implementation of environmental projects.

Cultural integration and support

Studying abroad is not only a lecture, but also an acquaintance with the country. The host University of LBTU organized a rich cultural program for students:
- Excursion to the picturesque port city of Liepaja.
- Visits to the majestic Jelgave Palace.
- Immersion in local traditions and life.

"I sincerely thank the host party for the high level of coordination and support at every stage of training. International experience radically changes the worldview of young people, destroys borders and becomes a powerful stimulus for constant self-development," concludes Liubov.
