Department of Dairy and Beef Production Technology

Master Programs

Two master programs of production field are taught by the staff of the department: «Dairy production» and «Beef production».

Head of the Master program «Dairy Production» V.І. Kostenko
This program allows the students to obtain deep knowledge in dairy production under the conditions of modern market. The program includes the following courses:
1. „Physiology of Lactation” (lecturer - V.І. Kostenko);
2. „Intensive methods of breeding of young cattle” (lecturer - V.І. Kostenko);
3. „Systems of keeping of dairy cattle” (lecturer D.К. Nosevich);
4. „Nutrition of high yielding cows” (lecturer І.P. Chumachenko);
5 „Technological equipment in dairy farms” (lecturer Т.А. Antonyuk).
The level of knowledge obtained by the students after completing the program will allow the students to work as managers at modern industrial dairy enterprises.
Bases for practical training: separated subdivision of NULES of Ukraine Education and Research Farm “Vorzel”; separated subdivision of NULES of Ukraine “Agronomic research station”; separated subdivision of NULES of Ukraine Muzychenko Velykosnitnyzke education and research farm; “Lan Agro – 5” LLC; «Agrofort» JSC; “Lelakivske” LLC; “Ukrainian milk company” LLC and „Chaika” state enterprise.

Head of the Master program “Beef production” А.М. Ugnivenko

This program allows the students to obtain deep knowledge in beef production under the conditions of modern market. The program includes the following courses:
1.”Biology of cattle” (lecturer A.M. Ugnivenko);
2. „Systems of keeping of beef cattle” (lecturer М.І. Matsenko);
3. „Nutrition of beef cattle” (lecturer І.P. Chumachenko);
4. „Stimulants of animal performance ” (lecturer Т.А. Antoniuk);
5. „Production of ecologically friendly beef” (lecturer А.М. Ugnivenko);
6. „Slaughter and processing of cattle” (lecturer Т.А. Antoniuk);
7. „Management of beef production” (lecturer L.А. Koropets).
The level of knowledge obtained by the students after completing the program will allow the students to work at modern beef enterprises.
Bases for practical training: separated subdivision of NULES of Ukraine Education and Research Farm “Vorzel”; “Zoria” LLC, “Klen” farming enterprise, “Kolos”company; “Svitanok” audit company, “Agricor Holding” LLC”; „Agrofort” OJSC.

Researchers of the department train candidates of sciences and doctors of sciences in the following fields: 06.02.01 – animal breeding and selection, 06.02.04 – production technology of animal products, 06.02.02 – nutrition and feed technology.
