Scientific work of Students
Supporting and developing student research is an important part of the educational process. Currently, the department has three student research groups, whose members annually publish their results in periodicals and defend their diploma (until 2008) and master's theses (until 2022):
- The group «Biotechnology and genetics of animal reproduction» (Scientific director: Associate Professor Viktor Lakatosh). Based on the results of scientific research, the members defended 61 diplomas (1997-2012) and 37 master's theses(2008-2022). The main achievements of the students include the creation of computer programs: control of cattle reproduction (Mykola Kozak, 2007), pigs (Serhii Babiichuk, 2010), dogs (Artem Khriapkin, 2014), control of estrus in female animals (Anna Voloshchuk, 2019), an information resource for remote counseling of dog and cat owners (Anna Haiduk, 2021); victory at the All-Ukrainian competition ‘Zavtra UA-2006’ (Volodymyr Madison); 3rd place at the All-Ukrainian competition of student research papers on ‘Veterinary Medicine’ (Sumy, 2013). - The group «Physiology and Pathology of Animal Reproduction» (Scientific director- Associate Professor Valerii Mazur). During the period of the club's work, 43 diplomas (2008-2015) and 26 master's theses (2015-2022) were defended by the students.
- The group «Physiology and Pathology of the Breast» (Scientific director: Associate Professor Yurii Masalovych). The result of the group's work is the successful defense of 90 diplomas and 10 master's theses.
