Cooperation
The international activity of the department is aimed at establishing cooperation with foreign higher education institutions - partners, searching, studying, and applying the best world experience in research and educational and methodological work, expanding the mobility of research and teaching staff and students, adapting to European and world standards of higher education while preserving the best practices of national education, improving the image of the Department, Faculty and University in Ukraine and abroad. The main activities of the department in terms of international cooperation are:
- cooperation with international educational institutions;
- joint participation in international grants and programs;
- providing mutual consultations and comprehensive assistance in conducting theoretical and experimental research;
- exchange of experience in animal reproduction;
- development of information systems for veterinary medicine;
- assistance in organizing internships for researchers, teachers, postgraduate students, and students;
- involvement of research and teaching staff, masters and postgraduate students in international projects;
- formation of joint research teams to carry out joint research;
- joint scientific publications and educational publications, exchange of scientific, educational, didactic and methodological literature;
- mutual participation of the parties in the process of training and certification of academic staff;
- use of international experience in educational, methodological, cultural, and educational work;
- participation in annual research and educational conferences;
- exchange of didactic materials;
- harmonization of the department's curriculum.

- State Agricultural University of Moldova (Chisinau, Moldova)
- Institute of Precision Agriculture (Plovdyv, Bulgaria)
The most constructive cooperation of the department is currently maintained with the Department of Obstetrics and the Clinic of Productive Animals of the University of Natural Sciences in Wroclaw. Thus, in April 2013, Associate Professors O.A. Valchuk and Y. V. Zhuk participated in the International Scientific and Methodological Field Seminar of Advanced Training ‘Innovative Forms and Methods of Veterinary Doctors Training in Higher Education in Poland’. On 16.04.2018, the Ukrainian-Polish round table ‘Reproduction and morphology of animal reproductive organs’ was held at the Department of Veterinary Reproductive Medicine and Vertebrate Biomorphology named after Academician V.G. Kasyanenko.
On 29.11.2019, the Ukrainian-Polish scientific and practical seminar ‘Relevant issues of dog and cat reproduction’ dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the NULES of Ukraine was held at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. The workshops were held jointly by Voitsekhom Nizhanskym, a leading European expert in the field of dog and cat reproduction, Doctor of Medicine, Professor, Head of the Department of Obstetrics with the Clinic of Productive Animals at the Wroclaw University of Natural Sciences (Poland), and doctoral student of the same department, Sylvia Prokhovska, and Associate Professors of the Department of Veterinary Reproductive Medicine of the NULES of Ukraine Serhii Derkach and Vitalii Kovpak.
Based on the results of their research, the department's staff provides practical assistance to domestic dairy farms and small animal veterinary medicine clinics in the following areas:
- the organization of obstetric and gynecological check-ups in livestock breeding using information technology;
- ultrasound diagnostics of pregnancy and infertility of animals;
- application of environmentally safe and pathogenetically sound methods of therapy and prevention of obstetric and gynecological pathology in animals;
- application of metal nanoparticles in obstetric and gynecological pathology in animals;
- diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mastitis in animals;
- diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of animal infertility;
- organization and implementation of animal reproduction biotechnology;
- organization of artificial insemination of dogs.
