Description of the master's degree program
The program provides study of biology of bees, basics of genetics of honey bees, breeding work in beekeeping, bee breeding, breeding of queen bees and inserting sperm for future use of breeding material in order to increase productivity of families and improve yielding capacity of entomophile crops through their pollination.
The program provides students with deep knowledge of the resource assessment and ability to use them efficiently to increase honey yield, production of different beekeeping products and effectively use bees for pollination of crops. Students will be able to provide mechanization of technological processes of production of beekeeping products, use equipment, inventory, means of automation, breed and organize reproduction of bee colonies, run beekeeping buildings. The program also involves mastering of complex knowledge about the origin, composition, properties and processes of production, processing and storage of beekeeping products, their standardization and implementation according to market needs.
After completion of the master's degree course and acquiring of knowledge in the program materials, the student may be employed in leading apiaries, educational and scientific institutions of Ukraine.
