April 6, 2015

Unfortunately, all good and interesting things tend to end.... So our intensive French language courses came to an end too. On April 3 there was the presentation of certificates, which turned into a real holiday, report concert of our success. Course participants, both students and lecturers, have demonstrated their success in learning French in the form of small sketches, staged poetry, performances, poems and songs. A unique holiday adornment was created by humor, song, music, while French provided the atmosphere and charm of France.
Everybody could feel love to the French language. Just on that very love stressed in his speech the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Pedagog, professor Shynkaruk Vasil Dmytrovych, while presenting the certificates.

The participants admitted that by the end of these courses they had already begun to wait for the new one on learning French with native speakers. And some students will already practice the language in France, because some of the course participants were selected for internships according to the results of their interviews conducted by the Association "Friendship without Borders".

A student of the Faculty of Food Technology and Quality Control of Agricultural Products, Halina Boiko, shared her impressions of the French language courses: "I will remember the French language courses for the rest of my life! These three weeks were unforgettable. To my mind, the most important thing is that courses were carried out by native speakers. When you speak Ukrainian, you realize that nobody understands you, therefore you try to use knowledge of foreign language to the maximum. Our lecturers – Monique and Mathilde – are extremely positive people. The classes were held in the form of theater, and they inspired us to the game, devoted themselves to us, and gave their own emotions, so we also tried to do the same. During the last classes, when you could easily act your own scene, you felt a real enthusiasm, joy and gratitude.
Of course, a special day was the presentation of certificates. It was our final act where sadness, pleasure and delight joined together. We did not want to realize that was the last day with Monique. During our performances we tried to maximize the energy exchange, she charged us. There were so many positive emotions that I wanted to play and play. It was so nice to see a smile on the faces of the audience. Now I understand that thanks to these courses I feel more confident when I have to speak French. I think of these courses only with gratitude. I really want to take part in something like this the next year too.

Svetlana Musiychuk,
Assistant Professor of Department of Foreign Philology and Translation
