The V International Scientific and Practical Conference “Ukraine, Bulgaria, the EU: economic, technical and social trends”
From June 28 to July 2, the V International Scientific and Practical Conference “Ukraine, Bulgaria, EU: Economic, Technical and Social Development Trends” was held at Prof. Assen Zlatarov University (Burgas, Bulgaria).
The main goal of the conference is to (re)comprehend various aspects of relations between Ukraine and the European Union during the past 27 years since signing the agreement, discuss key achievements and main challenges of Ukraine's interaction with the EU and share reflections on current trends in the European integration processes.
The conference was attended by over 80 participants from 19 educational institutions of Ukraine, Bulgaria, Poland, Georgia and Moldova, including: Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University (Georgia), Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University (Ukraine), Flight Academy of the National Aviation University (Ukraine), Jan Kochanowski University of Kielce (Poland), Khmelnytskyi Education and Research Institute of the West Ukrainian National University (Ukraine), National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (Ukraine), Khmelnytsky National University (Ukraine), Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts (Ukraine), Jagiellonian University (Poland), Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics (Ukraine), National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine (Ukraine), State Agrarian University of Moldova (Moldova), Sumy National Agrarian University (Ukraine), Prof. Assen Zlatarov University (Bulgaria), University of Medicine and Pharmacy (Moldova), National University of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine (Ukraine), Vinnytsia National Agrarian University (Ukraine), Vinnytsa Institute of Trade and Economics of Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics (Ukraine), West Ukrainian National University (Ukraine).
Afterwards, the participants were greeted by the co-organizer of the conference, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Head of the Department of Finance of NUBiP of Ukraine, Nadiya Davydenko.
The plenary session was opened by Doctor of Economics, Professor, Head of the Department of Economics and Management of Prof. Assen Zlatarov University, Ivan Dimitrov, who presented the results of a study on logistics outsourcing as one of the ways to optimize the management of business processes at an enterprise. He noted that application of the logistical approach, which implies integration (technical, technological, informational and economic) of a single link in a unified system of management of material and information flows, is aimed to achieve the desired results with minimal time and resources and encourages to optimize management processes of an enterprise.
Doctor of Economics, Professor Nadiya Davydenko and Doctor of Economics, Professor Natalia Vasilevska (Jan Kochanowski University of Kielce) noted that the rationalization of financial resources of an enterprise is a significant factor in the financial management. Usually, domestic enterprises have a low level of financial management. This is manifested in the following facts: the lack of an integrated approach, poorly organized system of relations between managers and executors, insufficient knowledge in the field of financial management. Financial managers have more theoretical knowledge and very limited practical skills, which influences their management decisions.
The report by Doctor of Economics, Professor Andriy Mykhailov (Sumy National Agrarian University) was devoted to the issue of transformation of personnel management in the context of globalization and digitalization of the economy. These processes are characterised by weakening of the rigid system of administrative influence and creation of a new organizational culture.
Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor of the National University of Food Technologies, Inna Demyanenko, and Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor of NUBiP of Ukraine, Alina Buryak, drew attention to the main problems that arise when drawing up financial plans. They noted that the budget is a separate functional document that reflects the financial interpretation of the plan of activities in terms of production parameters and the need for specific resources.
The report on “Environmental Protection during COVID-19 Pandemic”, presented by Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor of Borys Hrinchenko Kyiv University, Iryna Bratko, proved that climate change is affecting all countries without exception and has increased exponentially over the past decades. One of the causes of climate change is human activity and uncontrolled use of natural resources around the planet. Climate change significantly affects public relations and the formation of a new level of legal institutions aimed at ensuring human rights and freedoms. Addressing climate change is complicated by COVID-19 pandemic and poses new challenges to the international community.
Dr. Petko Yangyozov from Prof. Assen Zlatarov University made a report on the possibility of preventing crisis phenomena at enterprises. He noted that some features of the crisis management system should be implemented both at enterprises that are prosperous and operate successfully in order to prevent crises, and at those that are in crisis in order to recover.
At the end of the conference all participants received certificates.
