Successful completion of the course "Basics of Business Projecting" developed for specialty "Journalism"

It is now quite clear that the acquisition of any specialty requires the parallel development of basic knowledge in management in general and project management in particular. In this regard, it is very important for students of different specialties to master the course "Basics of Business Projecting" the teaching of which is provided by the Production and Investment Management Department of the Faculty of Agrarian Management headed by Doctor in Economics, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Lidiia Shynkaruk. Thus, in the second semester of the 2019 - 2020 academic year, the discipline "Basics of Business Projecting" was provided for students mastering the specialty "Journalism" of the Faculty of Humanities and Pedagogy of the NULES of Ukraine.

In the process of mastering the discipline students-journalists had the opportunity to develop their own interesting business projects which can be potentially used as ideas for starting their own business (more about the projects developed by them here: https://nubip.edu.ua/en/node/76873).

In the end of the course Associate Professors of the Production and Investment Management Department Maryna Dielini and Kateryna Alekseieva organized an exam which consisted of two parts – a written part and an oral one. Immediately after the identification of the students by professors Dielini and Alekseieva in ZOOM, the students were given time to complete tasks in Elearn. That was followed by an oral interview with students which showed a high level of knowledge in the discipline and interest from students.

It is always a pleasure for the teachers to receive gratitude and feedback from their students. This is exactly what happened this time as well. The leaders of the first and the second groups of the student-journalists thanked the teachers (lecturer Dielini and teacher of practical classes Alekseieva) for a well- developed and non-standard course.

We are deeply convinced that the course "Basics of Business Projecting" should be a part of the curriculum of various specialties.
