The first stage of the All-Ukrainian student Olympiad in German took place at the university
At the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation of NULES of Ukraine the first stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in the discipline "German language" took place.
Every year the number of students who want to take part in this test is increasing, so it is not surprising that this year 116 I-IV year of study students of the University took part in the Olympiad in German. Employees of the Dean's Office of the Faculty for Humanities and Pedagogics headed by the Dean, Doctor of Philological Sciences Vasyl Dmytrovych Shynkaruk and scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation under the direction of the Head of the Department, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences Svitlana Mykolaivna Amelina, created the proper conditions for the Olympics. Members of the jury were responsible for the fulfillment of their duties, which facilitated the organisation of work of all participants of the Olympiad.
Participants were asked to perform the following tasks: listening (listening to non-adapted text, followed by post-text tasks), reading (reading text and answering questions on content read), correcting errors (four words or phrases were highlighted in the sentence, one of which was an error that needed to be identified) and creative work that presented three topics to the student's choice.
The commission for the Olympiad was headed by the Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences Amelina S.M., the members of the commission were Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Zuenko N.O., Senior Instructor Kolesnyk M.Y.
After examining the works and discussing them, the committee determined the best experts in German. By the decision of the jury, Kateryna Kostenko, a first-year student of the specialty "Social work", was recognized as the winner of the first stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in German.
The results of the Olympiad testify to the rather high level of knowledge of the German language in a large number of students and their desire to compete in the knowledge of German. That is why we are expecting everyone next year at the First stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in German, and we wish the winners of this year's Olympiad Kateryna Kostenko success in the second stage of the Olympiad.
