Forest fire is burning in the western part of the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone in Kotoske village. Area by 4-04-20 is more than 20 ha. The Area is contaminated as it is located on the western path of the Chernobyl disaster created radionuclides contamination. Two fire airplanes AN-26P and helicopter Mi-8 involved in an air attack. Fire brigades of the Emergency Service from neighboring Kyiv and Zhytomyr oblasts as well as forest fire brigades from the forestry enterprise "Northern Puscha" are participating in ground operation. Kyiv is occupied by smoke from peat and grass fires around.
