13 грудня 2019 року

Our current interlocutor is the 1st year student of the Faculty for Humanities and Pedagogics, specialty "Philology" - Zahrebelna Svitlana.

- Svitlana, it's been almost six months since you became a student, congratulations! The first semester is coming to an end, and what are your impressions of studying at NULES of Ukraine?

- Thank you!! Among all decisions made by man, the most important role and influence is the choice of life path. The need for this choice arises when one begins to become aware of him/herself in society and to reflect on his/her aspirations. I learned about NULES of Ukraine from my aunt Olena Lauta, who works at the philosophy department of the NULES of the Faculty for Humanities and Pedagogics. She often told me about the benefits of studying at NULES and invited me to study at the Faculty for Humanities and Pedagogics. Ever since 10th grade, I, together with my classmates, repeatedly visited the Open Doors of NULES of Ukraine, University Day, participated in the Skovoroda studies of the Department of Philosophy, which are held for students as well as high school students, in competitions for students on the history of Ukraine and on Ukrainian language. In the 11th grade I took the preparatory courses before joining the NULES, and did not regret it at any time, because they helped me to prepare better and to pass the EIT for high enough scores. Therefore, when I was a first-year student, I felt at home!

- You have chosen the specialty "Philology". What foreign language are you learning? What influenced your choice?

I have chosen for myself a specialty "Philology (translation)", the first language - German, the second - English. In my opinion, this is a promising specialty that will allow me to become a good translator, will allow me to travel the world, communicate with people in different countries, have a good profession, which will allow me to realize myself, first of all, in Ukraine. Since my childhood I have been engaged in in-depth study of the German language, actively participated in district and regional Olympiads, competitions of the Academy of Sciences, conferences. I dream to see the world, to get acquainted with other cultures, traditions of other people, expand their worldview, and at the same time to test their language skills in practice.

- Why did you choose the Faculty for Humanities and Pedagogics of NULES of Ukraine for higher education?

- According to the rating of higher education institutions, NULES is among the most prestigious. And the Faculty for Humanities and Pedagogy, headed by Dean Vasyl Shynkaruk, is one of the leading faculties. Joining it, I was in a friendly family of like-minded people, people with creative thinking, modern outlook aimed at the future. I am sure that my education will make me feel competitive in the labor market. Our world is changing fast, some professions are disappearing, and new ones are replacing them. NULES of Ukraine is a modern university, a leading institution of education, science and culture in Ukraine, which cooperates with different universities in the world, so I hope to become a specialist at European and world level and to be successful in a fast-changing world.

- Why did you decide to do career guidance?

- Recently I visited the Velykodymerske Scientific-Production Complex of Brovarsky district of Kyiv region, which I graduated from. In the 11th grades many of my friends study. That is why I wanted to share my impressions about studying at NULES of Ukraine, about my native Faculty for Humanities and Pedagogics, and to recommend them without thinking to choose our flagship of education and science! I am convinced of the correctness of my professional choice and I want to help my friends navigate their future profession. In telling my friends about the university, I emphasize that first of all, the teaching staff at the faculty is wonderful. Secondly, there is a hostel, which is located near the educational buildings, thirdly, in comparison with other universities, affordable prices for study, and fourthly, interesting student life.

- Svitlana, what do you expect from studying at our university?

- I know that at the Faculty for Humanities and Pedagogics there is an opportunity both to get a profession of translator, and to get a double diploma at a European university. Another cherished dream of mine is to visit China, get acquainted with the ancient and interesting culture, with the peculiarities of everyday life, national traditions, the specifics of the world outlook of the Chinese. I know that our translators have been attending internships at Shenyang Agrarian University for several years in succession. But this opportunity is only available to the best students who have high academic achievement and good foreign language skills. So now, in preparation for my first session, I am very worried… Now I understand that everything is up to me. Lectures, seminars, conferences - an experience that you must get ... Your first credits and exams ... All this will be my first time .. Still want to travel around the world, in the future - to win a grand or participate in an international project, and to get to Germany, Austria to improve their knowledge and skills.

- You, Svitlana, might see your future somewhere abroad?

- Not at all! I do not imagine my future outside my home country, because my parents, relatives and friends are here… It is a difficult time for our country, but I am rooting for the fate of Ukraine, for its future. I believe that everyone should be aware of their personal responsibility and importance for development, for the progress of the country. I am convinced that only through our efforts will we be able to make the country prosperous, and I believe that very soon we will be able to truly be proud and happy that we live in Ukraine!

- What do you want to wish everyone on the eve of the New Year holidays?

- I am glad that I did not make a mistake in my choice and he did not disappoint me. I am grateful to the best dean Vasyl Dmytrovych Shynkaruk for his support in the process of adaptation to student life, I am grateful to the head of the Department of Foreign Languages and translation of Svitlana Mykolaivna Amelina for the attention to each student, I am grateful to the instructors of the faculty for humanities and pedagogics, hospitable meetings with the instructors of the Department of Philosophy, who hosted us, entrants, while attending university. Even now, they are constantly supporting and caring for their mentees who have been invited to study. I am convinced that all employees of the Faculty for Humanities and Pedagogics are always open to dialogue, interesting personalities, true specialists in their field. I am also convinced that the days of studying at the best university in the best faculty will make me happy and joyful.

Everyone wants to wish you success, goodness and peace! Dream, step boldly forward and let all your dreams come true!
The future is waiting for us!
