Research Activity
Teachers of department, other than academic work, conduct research work as well. The department given its specificity are several lines of research that is closely related to increased reliability and efficiency of electrical equipment, such as three-phase induction motors and control devices.
One research area, until recently headed by professor Mishin V.I., now it is headed by his disciple - associate professor Chuyenko R.M., and another professor Kokhanivsky S.P.
The main focus of research of the scientific school of professor Mishin V.I. improve the energy performance of three-phase asynchronous motors with squirrel cage schemes by improving the connection of the stator windings and the use of so-called internal capacitive reactive power output. In 1998, for immediate assistance Mishin V.I. and professor Lut M.T. the department launched the problematic research laboratory, which he led, and is currently headed by associate professor Chuyenko R.M. Conducted research school and received her results yielded about 20 patents and protect 8 PhD theses among them - Lut M.T., Ratner A.J., Tarasenko R.A., Chuyenko R.M. and others.
Scientific studies school Kokhanivsky S.P. aimed at improving the reliability of the electrical apparatus control through the introduction of new composite contact materials and technologies for their recovery. During the existence of this school received about 30 patents and 4 PhD dissertation including – Radko I.P., Nalyvayko V.A., Korobskyy V.V., Mrachkivskyy A.M.
Research on the development of scientific bases of operation of electrical equipment in agriculture is headed by professor Lut M.T.
Recently, with the advent of professor Vasilenko V.V. began the study of electromagnetic field parameters and to develop methods of calculating high-frequency Tesla transformer to its practical application.
With the advent of professor Vaskovskiy Y.M .began studies related to research in the field of mathematical modeling and study of physical fields and processes in electromechanical energy converters of various types, including induction electric motors in various design, powerful turbo and hydro generators and electrical machines for special purposes.
Graduate school is the main form of scientific and pedagogical staff in the system of postgraduate professional education and gives citizens the opportunity to improve education, research and teaching qualifications at the higher vocational education. In graduate school on a competitive basis adopted persons who have higher education and professional qualification or degree.
Currently writing their dissertations in order to obtain scientific degree of candidate of technical sciences, are: in the graduate school Scherbak T.V. (supervisor associate professor Radko I.P.) and part-time graduate Taran (V.V.) , (supervisor professor Lut M.T.).
Employees of the department are actively involved in the implementation of state budget issues - "Development of energy-saving technologies, the creation of composite materials with inversion of contact areas of electrical resistance for electrical switching devices that are used in agriculture" and "Improve environmental safety of electric vehicles by removal of material contact parts toxic cadmium oxide "(leaders of topics by professor Kokhanivsky S.P. and associate professor Radko I.P.)
The Department has agreements on scientific and technical cooperation with different research institutes and electrical companies.
Research results are reported at various international conferences and published in various collections of scientific papers.
