Operational information on the fire on the territory of the Krasnogradsky Forestry of the Kharkiv region (as at 07:00 on September 23)
On September 22, at 12:35, a dispatch center of State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU) in the Kharkiv oblast received a notification about forest fire on the territory of the 126th quarter of the Krasnogradsky Forestry in the district of Martynivka, Natalino and Dobren'ka settlements.
Prior to the arrival of the main fire forces and means of the SESU, the Head of the Krasnogradsky District State Administration, Tretyakov Y. A. organized timely involvement of special and adapted for fire suppression machinery from local enterprises and farms to extinguish the fire. In addition, all necessary measures were taken to alert and evacuate people from adjacent to the forest fire buildings.
Regional SESU sent 29 fire engines with brigades, 3 engines from Forestry, 2 engines and 2 trucks with firefighting equipment from local voluntary fire-fighting units in Krasnogradshchyna, as well as 200 personnel of SESU and 25 employees of the forestry. Also, 60 cadets and 10 officers of the National University of Civil Protection of Ukraine have been sent to the fire.
The forest fire spread over an area of about 70 hectares (of which about 50 hectares of the crown fires) and covered the 126th, 127th, 156th and 118th blocks of the forest massif. This was aided by windy weather.
At 17:20 air tanker AN-32 took off. At 17:35, he carried out the first drop of water.
At present, measures are being taken to stop the fire near settlements. The forces of the SESU together with the rayon state administration of the Krasnogradsky district have saved two residential houses in the village Martynivka, of which 8 people were evacuated.
On September 23 at 07:00 am, the crown fire put out. The ground fire in pine forest is burning on about 70 hectares. There are no threats to populated areas.
