- Hello! Tell us a little about yourself, what is your dream?
- Hello! My name is Galas Polina, I am 17 years old. I am in the 11th grade. In my free time, I like to communicate with friends and love to take care of the animals that my parents take care of. My dream is to get a profession that will allow me to treat animals, since they are more defenseless than people.
- In your opinion, what traits should be inherent in a veterinarian?
- Given the circumstances in which we have found ourselves since the full-scale invasion, there are more and more reports in the news about animal cruelty. Therefore, the priority traits of a veterinarian are non-indifference, willingness to unconditionally come to the rescue, and, of course, love for our smaller brothers, because, as Mahatma Gandhi said, the greatness and moral progress of a nation can be measured by how this nation treats animals.
- Why did you choose the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the National University of Veterinary Medicine of Ukraine?
- With the outbreak of the war, my family had to move from the Kherson region and now I live in Kyiv. Here I learned about this faculty, a powerful practical base, so there was no hesitation.
- What are the main goals you set for yourself for the next six years of study?
- I want to gain as much theoretical knowledge and practical skills as possible in all areas of this multifaceted profession. In addition, I plan to learn as much as possible about laboratory diagnostics of animal diseases during my studies and develop in this direction.
- Share your recommendations with those who have not yet chosen their profession.
- You should choose a profession only with your heart!
