Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Information Technologies for International Activities, Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Systems, Networks, and Cybersecurity Volodymyr Nazarenko prepared and applied for an international grant of the Jean Monnet Module on the topic: "Series of interdisciplinary educational lectures on sustainable development, green and smart city applications, possibilities for economic development, nature perseverance, and social equality" sustainable development, lifelong learning, application of a green and smart city, opportunities for economic development, growth and social equality"). This work aims to develop and ensure the functioning of a dynamic educational platform to promote the dissemination of interdisciplinary knowledge and dialogue on critical topics that are in line with the sustainable development priorities of the European Union.

The Faculty of Information Technologies of NUBiP of Ukraine submitted the project. Since then, Sincenterdisciplinary work has been carried out in cooperation with three specialized departments of our university — Computer Systems, Networks and Cybersecurity of the Faculty of IT, Land Use Planning of the Faculty of Land Management and Technology of Structural Materials and Materials Science of the Faculty of Construction and Design, as well as employees of the Center for Quality Assurance of Education of the University.

The project will use modern information technologies to improve the understanding of sustainable urban development, equitable resource management, and green technologies. Through innovative, highly effective lectures, seminars, and practical cases, the project proposes to address the interrelated problems of environmental protection, technological progress, socio-economic justice, and the provision of information on forms and methods of lifelong learning, contributing to the EU's priorities for sustainable development, combating climate change and smart growth.

The basis of this initiative on the environmental theme of the project stems from the urgent global challenges related to climate change, urbanization, economic inequality, and social inequality, as stated in the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Recognizing that sustainable and inclusive development requires an interdisciplinary approach, the project brings together environmental sciences, urban planning, economics, social research, and lifelong learning expertise to promote critical thinking, innovation, and collaboration between learners, educators, and professionals. The rationale is to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to develop and implement environmentally sound, economically viable, and socially just solutions.

We hope for a favorable decision when considering the submitted application by international experts!
