Career guidance activities continue at the Department of Biochemistry named after Academician M.F. Gulyi for potential applicants to the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the National University of Life Sciences of Ukraine.
Everyone has their own life path. How many people, so many paths. At the end of last year, I had the opportunity to get to know Kateryna Ihorivna Gerasymenko, a graduate of the NTU KTEK (https://nubip.edu.ua/node/138440).
Due to family circumstances (the need to take care of her husband Ivan Gulym, a graduate of the National University of Building and Construction of Ukraine, during his rehabilitation after being wounded), she missed the admission campaign this summer. Kateryna has not changed her plans and is going to enter the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 2025.
Below are the sincere words of Kateryna's appeal:
“Dear applicants and future students of the Veterinary Faculty of the National University of Life Sciences of Ukraine!
I am sincerely pleased to welcome you at the beginning of your journey to one of the most important professions. I have already had the honor of appearing on the pages of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Today, I want to share a part of my journey to inspire you and show you that no circumstances should stand in the way of your goals. My husband was seriously injured while defending Ukraine, so I had to postpone my enrollment. However, this did not become an obstacle - I gave myself a year to recuperate and gain practical experience.
NUBiP is more than a university for me. My acquaintance with this institution began in my childhood, when my mother was studying for a postgraduate degree at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. It was here that I saw the first examples of dedication to science and the profession. My husband and friends also chose this path and inspired me to move on.
It is very pleasant to see applicants who are confident in their choice. But the best part is that I see students who have the will, are not afraid of self-expression and are enthusiastic about their educational institution.
