Scientists of the department of surgery and pathophysiology named after Acad. I. O. Povazhenka participated in the work of the VIII International scientific practical conference "Veterinary drugs: development, quality control and application"
Scientists of the department of surgery and pathophysiology named after Acad. I. O. Povazhenko participated in the work of the VIII International scientific practical conference "Veterinary drugs: development, quality control and application" at the invitation of the organizing committee of the conference and its organizer - DNDKI of veterinary drugs and feed additives.
More than 200 scientists, managers and specialists of enterprises and institutions participated in the conference, including representatives from 15 countries (Belarus, Great Britain, Georgia, Korea, Latvia, Moldova, Poland, the Czech Republic and others). From October 1 to 3, 2019, more than 50 reports and announcements were heard at the plenary sessions and the round table, including the report of Prof. A.Y. Mazurkevich "Stem cells and products of cellular technologies in veterinary medicine".
The speaker focused on the main problems preventing the use of stem cells in domestic veterinary medicine, despite scientific achievements and, in particular, the results of research conducted at the National University of Bioresources and Nature Management of Ukraine. The main conceptual approaches to the introduction of science-based approaches in the use of methods of veterinary cell regenerative therapy using allogeneic stem cells and products of cell technologies were presented.
As part of the conference, a round table meeting "Pharmacological inspection. Simplified procedure for registration of veterinary drugs" was also held, as well as a practicum seminar "Regulatory legal regulation of the activity of a pharmacy enterprise in "producer-consumer" relations and a meeting of the State Pharmacological Commission of Veterinary Medicine of Ukraine".
Over the course of two days, the conference participants got acquainted with the exhibition unfolded in the hotel hall, which demonstrated achievements in the development and production of new veterinary drugs, the release of scientific and methodical recommendations, and printed products.

On the issue raised regarding the implementation of cellular regenerative therapy methods in veterinary medicine using allogeneic stem cells and products of cell technologies, as well as on a number of other reports we heard, we proposed and included the following points in the Conference resolution:
— promote the expansion of research on the use of stem cells and products of cell technologies in domestic veterinary medicine, accordingly develop regulatory and legal documents regarding their circulation and quality and safety control;
— increase attention and ensure transparency of compliance by specialized scientific and educational institutions with the requirements of the European Convention on the Protection of Animals when conducting experimental research in veterinary science and practice;
— taking into account the relevance of scientific information presented at scientific and practical conferences, in the future practice inviting students of specialized educational institutions to participate in such events and provide them with the opportunity to report on the results of research they receive by participating in scientific and creative activities. To encourage the participation of scientific students by marking the best reports, which form the reserve of future scientists. Give this work state patronage.
All the participants of the conference received certificates for improving the qualifications of scientists from the organizers of the conference.
Participation in such conferences, communication and discussions always serve as a source for new ideas and a stimulus for further scientific activity. The conference was actually scientific, multifaceted, educational.
