First Visegrad scientific doctoral symposium took place at St. Istvan University

Graduate students of the Education and Research Institute of Business, D.O. Kyrylyuk and O.M. Talavyrya, participated in the First Visegrad scientific doctoral symposium titled Multifunctionality and Regional Development held at St. Istvan University, Godollo, Hungary on October 3-5, 2013. A large number of young scientists from leading universities of Europe, Africa, Russia and the USA took part in the symposium.

 

The participants addressed the following issues: development of agriculture, regional development, sustainable development of agribusiness and tourism, economic growth, technologies, environment, and development of marketing, biotechnology and food safety.

 

During the symposium the association of students of VUA was created (VUA Youth). Its founders were Slovak University of Agriculture, National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, Szent István University (Hungary), Agricultural University (Poland), Russian State Agrarian University – MTAA named after K.A.Timiryazev (Russia), University of Molise (Italy).

 

Key objectives of VUA Youth were defined during the round table devoted to the future activities of the newly established association. They are as follows: student cooperation for research in the field of education and science, exchange of views and information, development of connection between the students and university management enabling easier and more flexible communication, spreading the information on high educational standards between universities, facilitating cooperation between student associations.
