It is necessary to take into consideration the increase of instability of current conditions of the functioning and strengthening of information asymmetry, which complicates the process of making management decisions at the micro and macro level, diversifies the risks of activity in the agrarian sphere, may create additional obstacles for the development of agro-industrial production.

Кеtevan Gigivna noted that internal system transformations occur in all countries of the world. Transformational economy involves changing the structure of the economy and creating new forms of the development. Moreover, transformation is not limited to market reforms, but has a complex character, including transformations in political, institutional and cultural spheres that are synchronized with each other in space and time.
Further, problematic issues of forming the modern paradigm of the competitiveness of agrarian sectors in the context of global food shortages were discussed.
Within the research and practice seminar, Ph.D. candidates of the Department of Global Economics Іryna Cheban and Аlla Chmil told how they use the “AGMEMOD” model in writing their PhD theses. Iryna emphasized that with the help of "AGMEMOD" she can make fairly accurate forecasts based on economic and mathematical analysis and model the future development of the agrarian sector of Ukraine. There is another plus for postgraduate students as well - models are a good base for publishing scientific programs and articles in international publications Scopus and Web of Science.
