Graduated from the Ukrainian Order of the Red Banner of Agricultural Academy, Kyiv in 1983, agricultural scientist. In 1988 defended thesis on "The Influence of timing of collection, mode postharvest processing and storage on grain quality malting barley" specialty 05.18.03 - primary processing, storage of grain and crop production. Since 1988 worked as assistant, associate, professor of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine. In addition to research and teaching activities, worked for many years in positions of responsibility management of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine: Vice dean of the agronomy faculty (1995), deputy executive secretary of the selection committee (1996-1997), executive secretary of the commission (1998), vice-prorector and the chief scientific secretary of the NAU (1999-2005), director of the research-education institute production and processing plant (2005-2008). From 2010 appointed acting head of the department storage, processing and plant product standardization prof. B.V. Lesik. H.I. Podpryatov is the author of 162 scientific and educational works, including 15 textbooks, 57 guidelines, 49 scientific articles, co-development 2 state standards of Ukraine.

Research interests: studying the influence of growing conditions, modes of postharvest processing and storage plant for its quality and safety.

Graduated from Kyiv Technological institute of food industry in 1977, engineer. In 2003 defended doctoral thesis on "Scientific basis and develop ways to juice purification" specialty 05.18.05 - sugar technology. He was awarded the medal "Excellence in education of Ukraine." Powered by the department since 2008, a member of the Specialized scientific council on candidate and doctoral theses D 26.004.10. at NUBiP Ukraine.

Scientific use LM Homichaka is about 115 papers in refereed journals, 44 patents and copyright certificates on inventions. The results of scientific activities implemented by many (more than 30) factories in Ukraine and CIS countries.

Research interests: physical-chemical basis of juice purification in sugar beet production.
