TOPAS: improving practice based education

     The Faculty of Economics takes an active part in From Theoretical-Oriented to Practical Education in Agrarian Studies project (TOPAS), funded by the European Union's Erasmus + program.

     The main objective of the project is to facilitate the transition from teacher centered knowledge-based form of education to student-centered practice based education in Uzbekistan, Ukraine and Armenia through enhanced cooperation between universities and agrarian enterprises.

   On February 13-26, 2019, Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences (https://ima.hswt.de/en) hosted the workshop as a part of TOPAS project. The workshop was attended by the representatives from 6 partner universities in Ukraine, Armenia, Uzbekistan and Germany.

    NUBiP of Ukraine was represented by Associate Professor of the Department of Economic Cybernetics, Kateryna Tuzhyk and Associate Professor of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Agribusiness Organization, Vitaliy Radko.

      During the workshop, three main areas of scientific research were defined: production data collection and processing; production economy and determination of economic indicators for making economic decisions; databases, their formation and administration.

     Participants of the workshop had the opportunity to get acquainted with the peculiarities of deepening practically oriented studies at various universities and to discuss production economy improvement at the agricultural enterprises of the countries participating in TOPAS.

     Based on the workshop results, main directions of deepening practically oriented training at TOPAS partner universities were defined.
