Step towards innovation and international integration: lecturers the department of English philology of NUBiP of Ukraine completed an international internship within the framework of the Ukraine–Poland program

In today's rapidly developing world, continuous improvement and development of new technologies is the key to success. This is especially true in the educational sphere, where technology has become a driving force in the formation of a new educational space. Now traditional offline learning is closely intertwined with online tools, creating flexible and innovative models for acquiring knowledge.
Department of English philology of the faculty of humanities and pedagogy of NUBiP of Ukraine once again demonstrates its commitment to innovation and high standards by successfully completing an international internship Ukraine-Poland on the topic «Use of modern digital educational technologies in the educational process of HEI».


This important international internship was organized by the European Association for innovative education (Ukraine) in cooperation with the higher socio-economic School (Poland). It lasted from April 12 to May 31, 2025, providing for 180 hours of intensive work (6 credits) distributed over 6 training modules.


Eleven lecturers of the department, including Lyudmyla KLYMENKO, Lyudmyla SHANAEVA-TSYMBAL, Indira RENSKA, Iryna CHERNELYA, Natalia KHARCHUK, Olexandr SODEL, Natalia YAMNYCH, Olena DUBOVYK, Iryna VELYCHKO, Alina BILOUS, Iryna ROZHON not only did deepen their knowledge, but they also acquired practical skills that would soon transform teaching at the University. This internship has become a vivid example of fruitful international cooperation and the pursuit of excellence.











First day of international internship the event, dedicated to modern digital educational technologies, began with a greeting from the participants. Opened the event:
- Oksana STEPANYUK, director of the European Association for innovative education (Ukraine);
- Anzhelika YAKOVETS, lecturer at the European Association for innovative education (Ukraine);
- PyoTR YAROSH, rector of the higher socio-economic School (Republic of Poland).



After an official welcoming speech from the organizers, the professor Alina KHALETSKAYA doctor of Sciences in Public Administration, representative of the Department «Andriy Meleshevich Kyiv-Mohyla School of management», held a meaningful session on the topic of time management. The event continued with a discussion of current challenges faced by higher education institutions in Ukraine and Poland. The discussion helped to identify common problem areas and identify areas of possible cooperation in the context of digital transformation of the educational process.


Second part of the day was devoted to trending teaching methods such as case studies, flip lessons, gamification and blended learning, as well as presentations of the main digital tools-learning management systems (LMS), assessment tools and webinar platforms. The module ended with a feedback stage where participants shared their expectations and discussed possible issues, which provided valuable information for further improvement of the internship program.


Second training module of the international internship focused on the tools of self-development of a teacher and the psychology of a modern educational applicant. Participants learned effective decision-making techniques, including the Descartes Quadrant and the 5 why technique, using the Miro interactive whiteboard for in-depth analysis of problem situations. Special attention was paid to the SWOT analysis, which was conducted by Nelya KINAKH, doctor of pedagogical sciences, Professor, head of the department of pedagogy and psychology of the Volyn Institute of postgraduate pedagogical education. Thanks to this, participants were able to identify strengths and weaknesses, as well as identify opportunities and risks in their professional activities.


The module also covered important aspects of professional burnout prevention, which was reported by Olexandr OSTAPYOVSKY, candidate of psychological sciences, associate professor of the department of pedagogy and psychology of the Volyn Institute of postgraduate pedagogical education. In his speech, he stressed the need to maintain a balance between professional activity and personal life as a key factor in the psychoemotional well-being of a teacher. Considerable emphasis was placed on motivating educational applicants, increasing their cognitive interest and active involvement in the educational process. The module ended with a review of the psychological features of distance learning — its advantages, difficulties, as well as a panel discussion dedicated to the exchange of practical experience.


Third training module of the international internship was entirely devoted to the basics of the Polish language for international communication. Classes wereI conducted by Vasyl OLIYNYK, representative of the European Association for innovative education. Participants took part in intensive practical sessions aimed at developing basic communication skills necessary for everyday and professional communication in Polish. Thanks to this approach, students of the module were able to immerse themselves in the language environment, increase the level of confidence in the use of the language and form the basis for further improvement of communication competencies.


Upon completion of this module and successful testing, all graduates received Certificate of Polish language proficiency at A0 level. The certificate confirmed the ability of graduates to hold elementary communication, opening up new opportunities for interaction and cooperation in the international space.


Fourth training module of the international internship was devoted to digital technologies in teaching, in particular their organizational aspect. Classes were held by Oksana STEPANYUK and Anzhelika YANOVETS who introduced participants to up-to-date interactive online tools, including Google services and the Google Classroom platform. Practical sessions allowed the lecturers to master effective digital tools for creating a dynamic and interactive educational environment, as well as optimize communication and cooperation with students.


Further, within the framework of the same module, we got acquainted with various educational resources that significantly expand the capabilities of teachers. Platforms such as Miro, LiveWorkSheets, Kahoot and WizerMe were considered. These tools provide ample opportunities for gamification, interactive testing and creating exciting tasks, which contributes to the active involvement of students in the educational process.






Fifth training module of the international internship focused on digital technologies in teaching with a particular focus on visualizing learning materials. Classes were held y Oksana STEPANYUK and Alina DIDYK who provided participants with practical knowledge and skills in creating high-quality visual content for the educational process. Participants mastered design tools using platforms such as Canva and Trello which made it possible to effectively organize training materials and increase their attractiveness. Special attention was paid to the creation of visual materials for distance learning using PowerPoint, Prezi and Mentimeter, which is an important factor for maintaining the attention of educational applicants in an online environment.
Within the framework of this module, participants continued to actively get acquainted with various modern educational platforms. Special attention was paid to the in-depth development of the capabilities of such tools as Miro, LiveWorksheets, Kahoot and WizerMe. These resources open up a wide range of opportunities for creating interactive tasks, gamified lessons, and shared virtual spaces. The use of such platforms significantly enlivens the educational process, promotes active student participation, and makes learning more engaging, creative, and effective.




The internship program was extremely rich and covered key aspects of using digital tools in teaching.
The internship has ended with the sixth module — networking of professionals of the educational space and solemn presentation of certificates. This event highlighted the importance of communication and sharing ideas for further development.
International internship of the lecturers of the department of English philology of the faculty of humanities and pedagogy of NUBiP of Ukraine was a real breakthrough — not just formal professional development, but deep professional and personal growth. This is an experience that transforms the approach to teaching, opens up new horizons and gives inspiration for the introduction of the best European educational practices in the Ukrainian education system.
The acquired knowledge and skills are a powerful tool for training competitive specialists who will be able to adequately represent Ukraine in the global labor market. This is a significant contribution to the European integration progress of our state.
