Business seminar «Safety for every day» was held at NUBiP of Ukraine

A good year simply «has to» start with good events. The business seminar «Safety for every day» held on February 4 at the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine was a bright, large-scale, significant, and live (off-line) event. The event was initiated by UVEX in Ukraine, MASTER 7 LLC, with the participation of co-organizers NUBiP of Ukraine, Labor Protection magazine, and event sponsors UVEX, Kakuichi, Cannygo, Monte, and Rewelly.

The event kicked off with the grand opening of the UVEX laboratory, which will operate at the faculty of mechanical engineering and technology of NUBiP of Ukraine. The laboratory allows testing personal protective equipment and conducting relevant laboratory work with students on the basis of the department of occupational safety and biotechnical systems in animal husbandry of NUBiP of Ukraine. The program of the business seminar, which aimed to draw the attention of occupational safety and health specialists, employers, and society to the issues of providing employees with personal protective equipment, was rich, interesting, and interactive.

 

The seminar began with a traditional bread-and-salt greeting to welcome the honored guest of the seminar, the head of the Japanese delegation, and the president of KAKUICHI, Mr. Riu TANAKA.
The seminar was opened by Vadym TKACHUK, Rector of NUBiP, who in his welcoming speech emphasized the importance of international educational, scientific and business cooperation. The rector of the university noted that NUBiP has been training occupational safety and health specialists for more than 50 years, and the university has become a venue for the OSHAgro international conference, which has taken a prominent place among the main occupational safety and health events in Ukraine and Eastern Europe.
Vadym TKACHUK thanked Dmytro MATVIICHUK, editor-in-chief of the leading Ukrainian magazine «Occupational Safety and Health», for fruitful cooperation, and Master 7 company and its director Mykola HORDIENKO for organizing this important event, and awarded Tamara BILKO, co-moderator of the seminar, with a certificate of honor for her services to NUBIP of Ukraine and on the occasion of her jubilee.
 
Dean of the faculty of mechanical engineering and technology Viacheslav BRATISHKO and director of Master 7 company Mykola HORDIENKO spoke about the main areas of cooperation and welcomed the participants of the event.
 
The seminar was moderated by Dmytro MATVIYCHUK, editor-in-chief of Occupational Health and Safety magazine, who introduced the participants and drew attention to the relevance of the Safety for every day business seminar.
The highlight of the program was a meeting with a delegation from Japan and a speech by Mr. Riu TANAKA, Representative Director, President and CEO of KAKUICHI company (Japan), on «Nano technologies in agriculture.» He presented an innovative technology of nano-bubbles, which allows to abandon harmful chemical fertilizers and increase crop yields by 15-45%!!! Mr. Riu TANAKA not only made a speech, but also handed over a nano-bubble unit from KAKUICHI company for testing to NUBiP of Ukraine, which works with a connection to drip irrigation.
 
The participants of the event also took part in the strength test of UVEX helmets and footwear, goggles and gloves Insert a tag (Alt+1), and during the crash test of personal protective equipment, learned from Tetiana HODIAK, Regional Director of GUS & Baltics, about the main, truly amazing features of UVEX products. In addition, the attendees had the opportunity to test and acquire firefighting skills on an innovative simulator, a VR fire extinguisher simulator from the Novator Group. In the end, all the speeches and presentations of the speakers on relevant topics were interesting, informative and useful. In particular, such as «The impact of high-quality and comfortable PPE on labor productivity» (Maksym SHOSTAK, PPE expert, founder of the Safety Max channel and PPE TechCenter); «Hand protection during loading and unloading operations» (Yevhen KUCHERYAVYI, Head of the Occupational Health and Safety Department); «Practice of testing PPE» (Anna BRELINSKA, expert in the field of occupational safety at enterprises); «Qualification centers as a tool for improving the lives of businesses and people» (Vyacheslav KUCHER, member of the National Qualification Agency); «Modern technologies and an innovative approach to developing skills for rapid response to emergencies» (Olena LYAKH, Deputy CEO of Novator Group).
 
Maria HORDIENKO and Mykola HORDIENKO, Director of MASTER 7 LLC, together with Denys EKHOFF, Director of Business Development in Poland and Ukraine of TALIS company (Lithuania), told about new European brands on the Ukrainian market Rewelly, Cannygo, G-Safety, Monte (made in Lithuania), their advantages, and innovations in workwear, director of MASTER 7 LLC, together with Denys EckhoffInsert a tag (Alt+9), director of business development in Poland and Ukraine at TALIC (Lithuania). After all, workwear is not just safety at work, but a vital necessity. The right work wear can make the difference between risk and protection. Because high-quality work wear is not a luxury, but an investment in everyone's safety. We cannot always prepare for all challenges, but we can control them. If we want to create a culture of safety, we must choose the best protection for our employees. In extreme conditions, it can save lives.
At the end of the meeting, those participants who showed the greatest activity and interest received valuable gifts from the organizers — high-quality and modern personal protective equipment, which, according to the participants themselves, they could only dream of!
