Innovative technologies in agronomy in assosiation with the scientists of National university of life and environmental sciences of Ukraine and the japanese company «Mebiol Inc»
Global climate change, reduced access to fresh water, insufficient amount of agricultural lands which are suitable for the manufacture of products that ensure human food security, environmental pollution associated with the agricultural production – all of these problems can be solved with innovative solutions.
On 20th of July, 2024 an Agreement was singed between the Japanese Company «Mebiol Inc» and the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine on conducting scientific research «The efficiency of crop cultivation using the Imec hydrophilic film». The Imec film (Film Farming) is an innovative product developed by Mebiol Inc which allows to significantly reduce the amount of moisture for crops growing in greenhouses and to form fruit with a high sugar content. The film provides the supply of nutrients to the root system together with irrigation water. Mebiol Inc. declares that vegetables can be grown everywhere and for everyone without using any substrate. It is possible to place the greenhouse in the different territories, even in the deserts. As a fact, Mebiol Inc has a successful cooperation in tomatoes production with African countries.
