Gymnasium 315
In today's rapidly changing world, the importance of understanding the complex interactions between humans, animals and the environment has never been more important than it is today. The One Health approach, which emphasizes this interconnectedness, is not just a topic for academics or a political issue; it is a concept that everyone, including children, should be familiar with.
Associate Professor of the Department of Veterinary Hygiene Mariia Galaburda and Associate Professor of the Department of Epidemiology, Microbiology and Virology Oleksandr Martyniuk met with 7th grade students of Kyiv Gymnasium No. 315 as part of the Jean Monnet project "Integration of the EU One Health Policy and Framework in Ukraine" and held an educational event on certain aspects of health care while communicating with animals, including pets.
The meeting emphasized the basic rules of safe handling of pets, the risks of rabies and the role of veterinarians in ensuring the Single Health.
