The first scientific searches of student members of the Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine - a step towards the popularization of higher education and science in the state

The popularization of higher education and science begins with the active participation of schoolchildren in scientific research conducted by research institutions and universities of Ukraine. One of these events is the All-Ukrainian competition for the defense of research works of the Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Associate Professor of the Department of Biochemistry and Physiology of Animals named after Academician M. F. Guloy, Doctor of Veterinary Sciences Kladnytska Larisa Volodymyrivna January 28, 2023 in accordance with Order No. 983 dated November 4, 2022 of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and Order No. 60-O dated November 11, 2022 "Kyiv Small Academy of Sciences of Pupils and Youth "On conducting the All-Ukrainian competition-defense of scientific research works of students - members of the Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in the 2022/2023 academic year" took part in the jury of the II city stage of the All-Ukrainian competition-defense of scientific-research works of students- members of the Kyiv territorial branch of the Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, students of the KPNS "Kyiv Small Academy of Sciences for Pupils".

The II city stage of the All-Ukrainian competition for the defense of scientific research works of students-members of the Kyiv territorial branch of the Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, students of KPNS "Kyiv Small Academy of Sciences for Students' Youth" was held remotely in an online format in compliance with the requirements of regulatory acts on the prevention of acute respiratory the disease of COVID-19 and due to martial law.

In connection with the introduction of martial law on the territory of Ukraine, it was more difficult for participants to prepare materials for the competition. But despite the difficult conditions, students of grades 9-11 presented interesting research works.

The participants of the competition made poster presentations based on the research presented at the online conference, after which they answered the questions of the jury members. Each participant of the competition also presented a video report on the stated research topic, which was subject to evaluation. The evaluation of the scientific work by the reviewer was added to the total number of points of the participant of the competition.

To form a research work and its presentation, the participants acquire skills and knowledge regarding the preparation of serious scientific works. Pupils who submit their works to the MA competition already understand the object, subject, purpose and tasks of research, can discuss the results, formulate conclusions and note the practical significance of their research. This is extremely important for the reconstruction of post-war Ukraine, the development of the intellectual potential of our country, and the popularization of higher education in Ukraine.

Participants who scored the highest number of points in the end won prizes. It should be noted that each participant won one of the proposed nominations, namely:

1. Topic related to the most modern scientific directions.

2. Popularization of the scientific worldview.

3. For a creative presentation.

4. For a topical topic for the post-war development of Kyiv and Ukraine.

5. Sample poster.

6. Research contribution to the development of the historical and spiritual heritage of Ukraine.

7. For a creative proposal of practical application of the results of scientific research.

We wish all the participants of the All-Ukrainian competition for the defense of research works of the Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine further scientific research and success in the universities of our Ukraine.
