October 15, 2014

On October 1 a new academic year began at Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW, Warsaw, Poland).
Over the last 2 years the Education and Research Institute of Power Engineering and Automation of NULES of Ukraine and the Department of Production Engineering of SGGW developed a joint program for training of master students “Power engineering and automation in biosystems in agriculture” that combines curricula of the specialties “Renewable Energy” (SGGW) and “Electrification and automation in agriculture” (NULES of Ukraine) and allows students to obtain double degrees.

On October 3, 2014 Dean Thomas Nurek opened the inauguration at the Department of Production Engineering and introduced the students of the Education and Research Institute of Power Engineering and Automation R. Batsenko and S. Gorbachevskyy. The students will spend 2 semesters in Poland and 1 semester in Kyiv. The program will result in defense of master’s theses and obtaining 2 diplomas – one of SGGW and one of NULES of Ukraine.
We wish our students success and we hope that next year Polish students will come to Ukraine to study.

Volodymyr Kozyrskyy,
