Eligible Applicants
Students and researchers who are unable to secure a safe place to study or conduct research due to the invasion of Ukraine by Russia.
- For undergraduate and graduate students: Depending on where and the status in which you are accepted, you will generally be supervised by an academic staff. (Students are accepted as non-degree-seeking students.)
- For researchers: You will receive support to continue your research activities. (In principle, the post will be unsalaried)

Support for Students and Resarchers who have been accepted
- Travel to Japan: When inviting eligible students / researchers from abroad, travel expenses at the time of entry and departure. The actual cost will be paid for the service (limited to once each at the time of entry and departure). The same applies for the followings. (spouse, parent of the person, parent of the spouse, child of the person, spouse of the child of the person, child of the spouse)
- Housing support: Free rental of university housing, etc. If there are no vacancies in the school dormitory, it will be a facility provided by the local government or a privately rented dormitory. The headquarters will bear the accommodation fee, but other management fees, utilities, etc. will be paid by the resident.
- Financial support: For students and researchers accepted by this special acceptance, living support up to 80,000 yen (600USD) per month until March 31, 2023 (may be reviewed including extension depending on the future situation) will be provided. If a relative accompanies you, in principle, a relative within (spouse, parent of the person, spouse). Monthly fee for the first target person (parent, child of the person, spouse of the child of the person, child of the spouse) An additional 60,000 yen (500USD) will be paid for the second and subsequent employees up to a monthly fee of 40,000 yen (300USD).
- Non-collection of tuition fees (for students): Examination fee, admission fee and award will be given to students with the following statuses accepted by this special acceptance. No business or research fees will be collected. Target students are "Undergraduate Research Student", "Undergraduate Auditor", "Graduate School Foreign Research Student", "Graduate School" They are "Research Student", "Graduate School Special Research Student", and "Affiliated Research Institute Research Student".
