INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC-PRACTICAL WORKSHOP "BIOENERGY POTENTIAL DEVELOPMENT IN AGRICULTURE"

   Educational and Scientific Laboratory of Economic Theory and Bioeconomy, Department of Economic Theory, Faculty of Agrarian Management of National University of Life and Environmental Sciences in Ukraine organized the VII International Scientific and Practical Workshop "Bioenergy Potential Development in Agriculture” on 11-12 February, 2022.
   An important feature of a strong economy of any country is the optimal provision of its energy needs. According to official data from the State Committee for Energy Conservation of Ukraine, our country consumes about 200 million tons of conventional fuel annually and is one of the energy-deficient countries, as it covers almost half of its energy needs at the expense of imported energy. One of the ways to solve this problem is to find and use of renewable energy sources, among which the new segment of the economy could be named: the production of biofuels. In total, more than 50 participants joined the workshop through the online platform: national and foreign researchers, practitioners, experts in bioenergy, postgraduate students and applicants and students. The workshop was opened by the Head of the Department of Economic Theory of NULES of Ukraine Mykola Talavyrya, who underlined the importance of the topics of the workshop and wished fruitful discussion to the participants.

   The Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Management Anatolii Ostapchuk greeted the participants and the extraordinary urgency of the scientific meeting.

   The following sections were active:
1. Prospects of the bioeconomy development and its sectors potential in Ukraine.
2. Perspectives of bioeconomy platform creation.
3. Modeling the assessment of economic indicators from the use of green manure in agricultural production.
   There were actual discussion topics: the prospects of the production and use of biomethane in Ukraine, interesting facts about the production and consumption of biogas and biomethane in the EU, the development of territorial communities of Bessarabia, the need for energy supply of local communities with the use of renewable energy sources, a new model of sustainable endogenous inclusive development for the local community - the bioeconomy of health, the experience in creating an information and training platform for financial/credit advisors, the directions of use of solar energy in accordance with human possibilities of an organism, various application of such renewable energy source as the Sun, modern aspects of renewable energy investment in Ukraine and the world, the prospects for biomethane production in the instability of energy markets, the production of niche crops in the context of bioeconomy development, the need to develop organic farming etc.
   The Organizing Committee would like to thank all the participants who participated in The International Scientific-practical Workshop.
