Digitalization in the educational process: an international workshop within the DAAD project at the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences

  The Covid-19 pandemic and following lockdowns significantly accelerated the transition to online educational services.Even before the pandemic, DAAD announced a competition for projects to digitize education.

    Ralph Schlauder, Vice-rector of the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences and a longtime friend and Honorary Professor of NUBiP of Ukraine responded to the proposal of Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work, International Activity and Development Vadym Tkachuk to prepare a project application and jointly carry out project activities. Among the winners were the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences, NUBiP of Ukraine, Mykolayiv National Agrarian University and Sumy National Agrarian University. The notion of digitalization in education is quite vast, but this project is aimed at improving the skills of recording video lectures, their editing and adding visualization.

    From January 31 to February 2, 2022, a workshop on preparing video lectures was held at the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences. Among the participants were Olexander Labenko, Head of the ERC for International Activity, Associate Professor Andriy Muzychenko and Associate Professor Mykhailo Huz. They recorded the lectures in Investment Analysis.

    The workshop participants visited the demonstration dairy farm of the university, the data collection center for determining the margin for agricultural crops and the Faculty of Media of the Ansbach University of Applied Sciences, where they discussed further cooperation on the project.

    As a result, the next joint activities were agreed upon, namely a summer school and further project applications to increase the level of digitalization at the universities.
