The Education and Research Laboratory of Economic Theory and Bioeconomics joined CIHEAM Bari Mediterranean Innovation Agrifood week
According to the Agreement on the creation of a transboundary organic agri-food open ecosystem signed between the Faculty of Agrarian Management of NUBiP of Ukraine and CIHEAM Bari, Centre for postgraduate training, applied scientific research and design of in loco partnership actions within the framework of international research and cooperation programmes, the Education and Research Laboratory of Economic Theory and Bioeconomics joined CIHEAM Bari Mediterranean Innovation Agrifood week.
The initiative took place from 25 to 28 October 2021 and gathered about 100 guests among startuppers, trainers, agricultural entrepreneurs - from Italy and from the Mediterranean region – as well as renowned international experts in the field of innovation.
The objectives of the initiative were to contribute to the identification of strategies for the creation of an environment conducive to the sustainable development of the agri-food sector in the Mediterranean, by leveraging on young people and on the combination of innovation and competitiveness; support successful start-ups; deepen strategic aspects on the strengthening of the innovation ecosystem.
The event included an international workshop “Dialogues on Innovation in the Mediterranean Agri-food System”, which was devoted to the identification of strategies for the creation of an environment conducive to the sustainable development of the agri-food sector, a pillar for the socio-economic growth of many Mediterranean countries, by leveraging on young people and on the combination of innovation and competitiveness. Students of the scientific group “Macroeconomic aspects of economic growth in Ukraine” joined the discussion.
