MEETING BETWEEN THE PERSONAL TUTOR AND FOURTH-YEAR UNIVERSITY STUDENTS
A new academic year marks a new phase, presenting higher education students with new challenges, goals and opportunities for professional development. On 1 September 2026, the 2026/2027 academic year began at the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine. For fourth-year students, this is particularly important, as it marks the completion of their studies, the deepening of their professional training and the definition of their future educational and career prospects. That is why the start of the new academic year provided an opportunity for a substantive meeting between the Personal Tutor and the students, during which the main tasks and priorities for the coming period were outlined.
With a view to ensuring the proper organisation of studies and discussing current issues relating to the educational process, Volodymyr VOSKOLUPOV, Associate Professor at the Department of Management named after Prof. Y. S. Zavadskyi and Personal Tutor to Group 4 of the fourth year at the Faculty of Agrarian Management, held an organisational online meeting with the students. At the start of the meeting, Volodymyr Vitaliyovych enquired about the students’ current situation, their readiness for the new academic year, and any issues requiring immediate attention. Particular attention was paid to the organisation of the educational process in the first semester of the 2026/2027 academic year, the study schedule and the timetable of classes.

During the meeting, the academic Personal Tutor emphasised the need for regular attendance at lectures, the timely completion of assignments posted on the Elearn learning and information portal, maintaining constant communication with lecturers, and adopting a responsible approach to fulfilling the requirements of the degree programme.
An important topic of the meeting was the discussion on the preparation of the bachelor’s thesis. The Personal Tutor drew the attention of the students to the need for a responsible approach to choosing a research topic, systematic collaboration with their academic supervisor, and adherence to the set deadlines for completing the various stages of its preparation.

In view of the legal regime of martial law currently in force in Ukraine, particular attention was paid during the meeting to the safety of those involved in the educational process. Volodymyr Vitaliyovych reminded the students of the need to strictly adhere to the established procedure in the event of an ‘air raid’ alert, to follow the university administration’s recommendations, and to take a responsible approach to their own safety.
During the meeting, students had the opportunity to ask questions regarding the organisation of studies, the academic timetable, the preparation of bachelor’s degree theses and the specifics of completing their studies. The open format of the discussion allowed for the discussion of topical issues, the exchange of views and the identification of the main areas for future interaction between the Personal Tutor and the academic group.
