The O. D. Hudzynskyi Scientific School "Management of Socio-Economic Systems"
The scientific school: "Management of Socio-Economic Systems" was established on the basis of the Department of Management and Marketing of NAU in the 1990s. Its founder and organizer was Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Oleksii Dmytrovych Hudzynskyi.
The theoretical ideas, developments, and practical recommendations of Professor Oleksii Dmytrovych Hudzynskyi hold significant scientific and practical value. They are based on his extensive life and professional experience as a manager, educator, and researcher. These contributions form the foundation for the research activities of the Department’s faculty members, postgraduate students, and doctoral candidates.
In 1976, Oleksii Dmytrovych defended his Candidate of Sciences degree, and in 1992 he earned his Doctor of Sciences degree with the dissertation titled “Formation of an Effective Management Mechanism for Agricultural Production (Theory and Methodology)” at the Specialized Academic Councils of the Ukrainian Agricultural Academy (now the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine).
O. D. Hudzynskyi served for over 17 years as Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Economics. Since 1978, he was an Associate Professor, and from 1992 to 2018, he held the position of Professor at the Department of Management at NULES of Ukraine.
The scientist and his students worked for a long time on a complex, relevant scientific problem: "Formation of adaptive and developmental management systems in the conditions of institutional and structural transformation of the Ukrainian economy."
The scientific direction of Professor O. D. Hudzynskyi’s school focuses on the development of theoretical and methodological foundations for establishing effective management as a systemic integrity, responsive to dynamic transformational processes within the context of institutional and structural changes. It emphasizes a system-integrated approach to developing the theoretical and methodological principles of management with an institutional-structural orientation.
O. D. Hudzynskyi is a co-author of significant recommendations for improving management systems in the agro-industrial complex. He developed a comprehensive system for ensuring the quality of training for specialists in the field of economics. With his active involvement, curricula and programs, educational-professional programs, and qualification standards in the field of “Management” were formulated. He is also a co-author of concepts for training specialists in Accounting and Auditing and in Management in higher education institutions, which have been endorsed by the scientific community at both national and international levels.
The O. D. Hudzynskyi school maintains direct collaborations with the scientific schools of Doctors of Sciences and Professors H. H. Kireitsev, M. M. Martynenko, M. F. Kropyvka, V. K. Savchuk, P. V. Smekalov, and other prominent scholars.
Hudzynskyi O. D. was a member of 2 professional councils for licensing and accreditation of higher education institutions in the specialties "Management", "Trade and Management" under the Ministry of Education of Ukraine, for a long time worked as a member of the National Council for Licensing and Accreditation in the specialty "Management" of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, a member of several scientific councils for the defense of dissertations, an expert on licensing and accreditation of higher education institutions under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
Professor O. D. Hudzynskyi is the author of over 240 scientific and educational works, including more than 20 monographs, textbooks, and teaching manuals, both individually and in collaboration.
The theoretical and methodological developments of Professor O. D. Hudzynskyi are widely used by scholars in the preparation of doctoral and candidate dissertations, monographs, manuals, and textbooks. New directions of theoretical research have been advanced under his guidance, including: institutional-structural; innovation-intellectual; organizational-strategic; motivational-activational; accounting-analytical; and integrated controlling-system approaches. These research areas are actively studied by postgraduate and doctoral students.
Under the supervision of Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Oleksii Dmytrovych Hudzynskyi, 7 theses for the degree of Doctor of Economic Sciences and 36 theses for the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences have been successfully defended.
