Achievements of the Department of Management named after Professor J. S. Zavadskiy
The Department of Management named after Professor J.S. Zavadskiy (until 1996, the Department of Agricultural Production Management), as an independent structural unit of the university, was established in 1973 under the leadership of an outstanding scientist in the field of management, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Higher Education of Ukraine and member of the International Academy of Computer Sciences and Systems, Joseph Stanislavovych Zavadskyi, who headed the department for 30 years.
J. S. Zavadskiy founded his own scientific school and supervised the training of more than 40 Doctors and Candidates of Sciences. During this period, the degree of Doctor of Economic Sciences was awarded to Corresponding Members of the Ukrainian Academy of Agrarian Sciences V. P. Halushko and V. K. Tereshchenko, Professor O. D. Hudzynskyi, and Professor V. M. Horbov, Head of the Department of Management at Bryansk State Agricultural Institute. The department also trained a significant number of management specialists for Vietnam, Georgia, China, Mongolia, Nigeria, Syria and Tajikistan.
Since 2005, the Department of Management has borne the name of Professor J. S. Zavadskiy.
The department conducts educational and methodological activities, ensuring continuous improvement of the level of teaching disciplines, namely: improving the quality of lecture classes as the leading form of learning, implementing active learning methods during practical and seminar classes.
The academic staff of the Department of Management named after Professor J. S. Zavadskiy provide comprehensive methodological support for the Department’s academic disciplines. This includes the preparation of textbooks, teaching manuals, and other instructional and methodological materials, as well as methodological guidelines for the Department’s courses. The staff also ensure the timely and high-quality development of curricula and course syllabi in accordance with the credit-modular system.

The department organized and held, on the basis of NULES of Ukraine, an international scientific and practical conference "DIGITALIZATION OF AGRARIAN MANAGEMENT", which was dedicated to the issues of combining traditional production with digital technologies.

The department establishes and maintains cooperation with leading enterprises, institutions, and organizations in the field of specialist training by engaging invited experts and practitioners in management and administration.

Such introductory visits have a positive impact by strengthening cooperation between the department, students, and potential employers.

The scientific and pedagogical staff of the department organize and conduct methodological and scientific-practical conferences, seminars, etc.

The department actively operates a student scientific DNA Leader Club, whose activities are aimed at developing students' creative abilities with the aim of acquiring professional, personal, and cognitive competencies, as well as experience in acquiring knowledge and skills through research.

Members of the club are involved in research activities and preparation for scientific conferences and student competitions.

The academic staff of the department take an active part in social activities at the faculty and at the university.

An important activity of the department is the organization and implementation of vocational guidance work among young people. The academic staff invite future applicants to the university for an "Open Day".
