NUBiP of Ukraine – Penn State University (the USA): everything is ready for the seminar

      Catherine Nettler Cutter, a professor of Penn State University came to NUBiP of Ukraine to do final formalities for conducting a four-week course of food safety. This seminar will take place in June, 2018. The number of participants is 30-40, the language of this seminar is English. Specialists of College of Agricultural Sciences of Penn State University will teach modules of this seminar which will end up with an exam. Richard Roush, dean of College of Agricultural Sciences is to come to NUBiP of Ukraine too.

    The course is full of hands-on classes. Participants of this course will be able to learn, analyse and apply leading methods and techniques, gauge the quality and safety of different food products. Successful participants will get a certificate of Penn State University.

     Currently, there are more than 70 applications from those who wish to undertake this course, including faculty staff, Master and postgraduate students. The registration is still open to all.

     Prof. Catherine Cutter had a meeting with rector Stanislav Nikolaienko. During this meeting the last preparations for the course were discussed. C. Cutter also visited Faculty of Food Technologies and Quality Control of Agricultural Products. Professor examined laboratories and together with Dean Larysa Bal-Prylypko judged the necessary equipment and facilities and possible expenses.

     Rector Stanislav Nikolaienko sent words of greetings to administration of Penn State University and invited colleagues to participate in the conference which will mark the 120th anniversary of NUBiP of Ukraine.
