I International Scientific and Practical Workshop COPILOT: Results of the First Phase and Plans for 2026

The workshop summarizes the first phase of the COPILOT project "Innovations in Deep Technology and Entrepreneurship for Sustainable Energy and Clean Technologies", unites Ukrainian and European universities, and sets priorities for 2026. The event will be held in a hybrid format, with participation from university management and consortium partners.

Organizing Committee: headed by Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work and International Activities, Oleksandr Labenko; it consists of heads of faculties, departments, and representatives of partner universities (full membership is included in the program).

COPILOT Project: Deep Technology and Entrepreneurship Innovations for Sustainable Energy and Clean Technologies - Phase I Results and Next Steps

What the project is about: COPILOT strengthens the innovation capacity of European universities through deep technologies, entrepreneurship, and cross-sectoral cooperation in the fields of sustainable energy and clean technologies. The event at NUBiP is the first international workshop dedicated to presenting interim results and forming a roadmap for 2026.


Consortium and participants:

  • Ukraine: NUBiP of Ukraine (basic organizer), Bila Tserkva NAU, Polissya NU.
  • EU partners: Technical University of Denmark (DTU), University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM, Spain), Cyprus Institute, Agricultural University of Athens, Institute of Entrepreneurship Development (Greece) - with the consent and within the framework of COPILOT implementation.


What we discuss at the workshop:

  • International collaboration as the basis of effective project management (DTU).
  • Harmonization of curricula and resources to European standards (Cyprus Institute).
  • Thematic visits, dissemination, and cooperation with businesses as tools for knowledge transfer (UCLM).
  • Practical results of Ukrainian faculties in TREATY/COPILOT and integration of new partners (NUBiP, BNAU, Polissya NU).
  • Priorities of COPILOT-2026: expansion of partnerships, double degree programs, and applied cases for energy and clean technologies.


Expected results of the workshop:

  • An agreed list of steps for 2026 (educational modules, thematic visits, industry partnerships).
  • Updated competency matrix for educational courses and laboratory modules.
  • List of pilot initiatives with businesses and municipalities (energy efficiency, clean technologies, digital twins).
  • Recommendations for double degrees and academic mobility.
