International cooperation
Scientists of the department cooperate with leading universities and companies. Lecturers of the department as well as students do research. More than twenty articles have been published according to the results of researches and developments of the department. The Department closely cooperates with leading telecommunication companies such as "Ukrtelecom" URIC, UNIIRT.
According to the current curricula, the main functions of the Department of Computer Systems and Networks include conducting educational work: lecturing, conducting research, practical and laboratory work, directing educational and industrial practices, forming tasks for independent work of students, directing bachelor's and master's diploma theses in disciplines assigned to the department.
Along with this, scientific activity is carried out at the department. Each scientific and pedagogical worker at the department has a fixed scientific direction of research (appendix).
Prospective scientific research is conducted aimed at the development of models, methods and means of building promising computer systems and networks, in particular: navigation geo-information systems of precision agriculture, real-time navigation and control complexes, systems for displaying space, air and ground conditions, development of databases and knowledge of different levels and purposes, etc.
Scientific and pedagogical workers annually participate in scientific symposia, conferences, seminars, bootcamps, hackathons, exhibitions, etc. News on all scientific events, in which the scientific activity of the NPP of the department is reflected in news and events on the main page of the department:
- The X International scientific and practical online conference "Global and regional problems of informatization in society and nature use '2022" was held
- XII International scientific and practical conference of young scientists "Information technologies: economy, technology, education": the results of research of young scientists were discussed, master classes and presentations from the IT business were held
- VII International Scientific and Practical Conference "Digital Education in Natural Sciences Universities"
- Lecturers of the Department of Computer Systems and Networks continue active cooperation in the scientific field of cyber security
The department closely cooperates with foreign universities. He often visits foreign institutions of higher education and welcomes foreign guests to his faculty:
As part of the foreign internship, the Department of Computer Systems and Networks hosted guests from the Republic of Kazakhstan. Doctoral students of the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai worked at the department during the week, majoring in 6D060200

Before the start of military aggression from the Russian side, the NPP of the department submitted to the competition an applied research project, which will be carried out at the expense of the general fund of the state budget, on the topic "Research of intellectualized decision support systems for investment in the development of Smart City". Unfortunately, the war disrupted plans in the country.
Recently, the Second International Conference on Computer Sciences, Engineering and Educational Programs was held in Kyiv, in which the head of the department, Professor Valery Lakhno, and Associate Professor Dmytro Kasatkin participated with poster presentations.
On January, the Second International Conference on Computer Science, Engineering, and Educational Programs (ICCSEEA2019) took place in Kyiv, where Professor Valery Lakhno and associate professor Dmitry Kasatkin took part in the poster reports.
Scientists of the department have close contacts in the field of science and education with leading universities and firms. Not only the staff of the department, but students take part in scientific developments. According to the results of scientific research and development, the department for the past has published more than forty scientific articles and copyright certificates for the invention. The department closely cooperates with leading universities, namely: VM Glushkov Institute of Cybernetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University, Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (KPI), National Aviation University, European Krakow Security Association (Poland), etc.
