During June-September 2022, scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Management named after Professor J. S. Zavadskyi Tetiana Balanovska and Oksana Havrysh took part in the series of seminars "Research Data, Methods and Scientific Writing", which were organized by the Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Transition Economies (IAMO, Germany) within the framework of the project "Land Reform in Ukraine: New Perspectives and Challenges for the Sustainable Development of the Agricultural Sector and Rural Areas" (Landreform_UA).
The purpose of the series of seminars is to improve the practical and basic methodological skills of the participants for preparation and work on research projects. The series consisted of three one-day workshops: "High Quality Data for Research - Introduction and Issues of Representativeness" (June 2, 2022), "Writing and Submission of Conference Papers or Extended Abstracts" (June 9, 2022), "Empirical Research in Agricultural and Development Economics: How to Develop a Grounded Empirical Project" (September 22, 2022).
Speakers of the seminar series "Research Data, Methods and Scientific Writing" were leading Ukrainian and international lecturers of the Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Transition Economies (IAMO): Dr. Lena Kun, Dr. Ikhtiior Bobozhonov, Dr. Oleksandr Perekhozhuk, Dr. Vasyl Kvartiuk.
During the series of seminars, scientific and pedagogical workers became familiar with necessary methodological foundations for obtaining and processing research, methods commonly used to analyze scientific questions in agricultural economics, and also improved their skills necessary for publishing research results in peer-reviewed journals and, ultimately, for scientific communication.
We express our sincere gratitude to the organizers of the seminar for the opportunity to participate in the series of seminars and receive interesting and useful information!
